We grow accustomed to certain things in life. We usually don’t give a 2nd thought to the fact we have a car that starts, a roof over our head, food to eat, a job to support these things, or even the next breath we take.

However when our cars break down, we face financial strain, get laid off, or grow ill we are reminded how fragile our lives and these things we take for granted really are.

Every gift, big or small, important or inmaterial, expensive or cheap, comes from God. We have so many things to be thankful for we lose track of the things we should be thankful for. The Bible says “in everything give thanks.” Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for the things we have (and abundance of food). However, we need to recognize how great and generous God is 365 times a year..

And most importantly, We must give thanks for our salvation. Everything you have in this world, house, car, boat, money, TV’s, videogames, sports, job, food, and anything you can think of will oneday cease to exist. However, your salvation is for eternity.
